The Suzuki Cappuccino is a small 2-door, 2-seater hard top roadster powered by a three-cylinder, all-alloy 657 cc DOHC engine. Front-rear weight distribution is claimed to be 50/50% when both seats are occupied. Layout is front mid-engined and rear-wheel drive.

Production started in October 1991 and was given the designation SX306, and the model identification EA11R. It was officially launched in the UK in October 1993 with a list price of 11,995 GBP. Between 1993 and 1995 a total of 1,110 cars were registered there. The color choice was limited to a choice of two, red and silver in the ratio of 80:20.

It can be configured as a closed coupé; T-top; targa; or, on retraction of the rear window and roll bar, a full convertible. Its three roof panels stow in the trunk, and the rear window/roll-cage assembly retracts into the body behind the seats.

It was also originally equipped with the belt-driven F6A engine but later models were fitted with the lighter, chain-driven K6A engine which provided more torque. Both were DOHC 12-valve, inline 3-cylinder engines that were turbocharged and inter-cooled. The K6A versions had slightly increased torque, lighter wheels and the option of a 3-speed automatic transmission, power steering and had an electronically limited top speed of 85mph and a 0-60 time of 8 seconds.

There were also high specification and limited edition models which included such additions as driver's airbag, anti-lock brakes, electronic power steering, electric mirrors and a limited slip differential.

The Cappuccino featured 4-wheel disc brakes, possibly the first production iteration of electric power-assisted steering, aluminum double wishbone suspension and rear wheel drive. Production began in 1991 and ceased in 1997. The Cappuccino's closest competitor of the time were the Autozam AZ-1, Honda Beat and the Daihatsu Leeza Spyder.

Production of the Cappuccino ended in late 1997 with sales finally coming to an end in 1998. In all a total of 28,010 Cappuccinos were produced in its 7 year production run.
